Neuromyotonia is associate immune mediate disorder characterized by muscle stiffness caused by exaggerated muscle cell activity with elevated voltage gated potassium channels. A manifestation usually includes muscle twitching during rest, muscle cramps, delayed muscle relaxation, increased sweating with motor weakness. The clinical significance of this VGKC antibody test can only be determined in conjunction with the patient's clinical history and related laboratory testing. I present a case of 27 year old woman admitted with the complaints of pain in extremities, whole body weakness and need for assistance to do her ADLs. VGKC antibodies were positive and rests of other investigations were in normal range. The patient was subsequently placed on anticonvulsant and steroids therapy.
The aim of the study was to assess the effectiveness of video assisted teaching programme on prevention of oral cancer among tobacco chewers. The research design adopted was quasi experimental one group pre-test and post-test design. The data was collected from 60 samples by means of structured interview method to assess the knowledge and attitude on prevention of oral cancer the finding of the study revealed that video assisted teaching programme was effective on knowledge and attitude on prevention of oral cancer(t=p<0.05 level).
Hospitals could be the potential area of acquiring infections if the hospital generated wastes are not handled carefully. The proper disposal of these health care wastes known as Biomedical wastes is mandatory as they have the potential of causing infection. Infection control is part of the nursing curriculum and all nursing students are thought theoretically how to manage the biomedical wastes. Has the theory helped during practise in clinical settings? The answer for this question was the aim of this research article where the fresh graduates currently working as staff nurses known as novice were surveyed upon. The study concluded that their knowledge regarding the topic was fresh and adequate and a positive correlation was established between the knowledge and attitude of the novice nurses towards practising biomedical waste management.

A study assessed the knowledge regarding importance of calcium among women in selected village. Quasi experimental design was adopted 30 samples were selected using convenient sampling technique. A structured questionnaire was used to assess the knowledge. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. The study finding revealed that there is significant increase in the knowledge level among women’s after nutritional education programme.
A child is precious not only to the parents, family, community, and Nation but also to the world at large. Neurological symptoms are also frequently encountered in a wide variety of systemic illnesses. Almost 20-30 percent of children encounter acute, chronic or recurrent neurological illnesses. The descriptive research design was conducted to the knowledge on care of the children with epilepsy among mothers of children with the objective to assess the level of knowledge on care of the children with epilepsy among mothers of children. 60 mothers of children with epilepsy were selected using convenient sampling technique. A self-structured questionnaire was used to collect the data. The study concluded that the most of mothers of epileptic children had moderate level of knowledge on care of the children with epilepsy.
